I chose this hotel based on the suites and being dog friendly. Exceeded my expectations by a mile! Super friendly staff, great location (right out the front is excellent dog walking by the water) suite was one of the largest I have been in for some time. Also a plus hardwood floors (no allergy inducing carpets). Prices very reasonable for this level of a room. Also, great shuttle service provided by the hotel in the afternoon, driver Randy is the best! Also valet parking is the way to go. This is the place to stay in Portland!

This is my go to hotel every time I visit Portland! The location is in the heart of the Old Port and right off Commercial street. The staff here are very friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel appreciated. I’m a titanium member with Marriott and have stayed in hundreds of Marriott hotels, and this hotel is the only one where management emails you ahead of time and gives you complimentary upgrades before you check in. I appreciated being upgraded to the 1-bedroom ocean view suite which is a huge, modern, and beautiful room. The shower head was so nice and relaxing, and the circular shape of the room made the ocean views look spectacular. The beds are also extremely comfortable. I also appreciate the little touches they make like hot cocoa in the lobby and the lobby restaurant is delicious and has great drinks. Overall, very impressed with this hotel which is why I always come back!

Huge thanks to the AC Hotel for an amazing weekend. A group of 10 stayed here for the weekend to celebrate a birthday and the staff could not have been more accommodating, especially Mike and Monika. Most of us were new to the area and the staff made sure to recommend the best places to visit. This hotel is in an amazing location, right next to the water and a 5 minute walk from downtown. Will definitely be back to stay here soon. Thanks again!

After flying for 16 hours with multiple flight delays, I was taken back when I got to my room to see a very welcoming note, champagne and chocolate from the AC Hotel team. It made my entire day and was so very thoughtful. The hotel has always gone above and beyond each time I have visited. I highly recommend this hotel as the views are beautiful and it has easy access to the Main Street and all the local stores and restaurants. Thank you to the team at the AC Hotel, you are one of a kind!

Second time staying at the AC Hotel Portland- first time was great. This time a disappointment from day one. Arrived, was told they oversold my room and I was now in a queen vs king. I said okay, what can you do. They put me across the hall from the ice machine, which clattered and made loud noises all night as people filled up their ice buckets etc. When requesting late check out, nope, couldn’t even do an hour. Really enjoyed first stay and thought this would be our go to in Portland- unfortunately cannot recommend running away fast enough. A shame.

We have stayed at the AC Hotel Portland three or four times now, and have had a fantastic stay each time. It's beautiful and clean, and the service is fantastic - everyone was so friendly to us. The water view rooms have beautiful views. The fitness center is decent, with several different cardio machines and a set of free weights (and it's also full of windows, instead of being in a dingy basement like some hotel gyms). The bar downstairs is great for a snack and a drink before heading out to dinner at one of the great restaurants in the immediate area (we love Twelve and Fore Street Restaurant, both within a 5 minute walk). We've stayed in the summer and the winter, and it's great no matter the season. This is our go-to spot in Portland and we're already excited for our next trip!

My go to hotel in Portland great location walking distance to everything the waterfront has to offer. The room are excellent with the exception of the road noise ( rear facing rooms ) there is a lot of trucking early in the morning. The other rooms are much quieter. Hotel bar is also excellent.
